Juan Barreno

Juan Inez Barreno, 71, of Pecos, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at his residence.

A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 20, at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

He was born Sept. 12, 1932, in Fabens, was a retired maintenance man, a longtime Pecos resident and a Catholic.

Survivors include four sons, Juan Inez Barreno Jr. of Montebello, Calif., Jesus, Jose Alberto and Marco Antonio Barreno of Pecos; five daughters, Laura Eliza Gonzales, Luisa Barreno of Pecos, Magdalena Estrada of Tucson, Ariz., Maria Teresa Gaytan of Rialto, Calif., Dora Alegria Valeriano of Irving; two sisters, Fidencia Olivas and Carolina Duran of El Paso; 35 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Peaceful Garden Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rachel Ann Licon

Rachel Ann Licon, 14, of Pecos, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Lubbock Covenant Hospital, following an auto accident.

A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m., today, at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 19, at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born March 23, 1989, in Odessa, was a freshman at Pecos High School and a Catholic.

Survivors include her mother, Emma Jasso of Pecos; her father, Manuel Licon of Pecos; one brother, David Licon of Midland; three sisters, Nancy and Crissy Licon, Marissa Jasso of Pecos and her grandparents, Maria and Jose Jasso, Irene Licon of Pecos.

Peaceful Garden Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
