Couple announce birth of daughter
David Joe Gonzales, of Barstow, and Jennifer Nevarez, of Monahans,
announce the birth of their baby girl, Alyssa Alize Gonzales.
She was born Nov. 10 and weighed seven pounds, 13 ounces and was 20
inches long.
Grandparents are David Gonzales of Pecos. Great-grandparents are
Jesus and Josefina Gonzales, Sr. of Barstow.
Local students graduate, make honors
The University of Texas of the Permian Basin announced its Summer
2003 graduates. A single commencement ceremony was conducted for the
Summer 2003 commencement.
Pecos graduates include: Irma Martinez, B.A., English.
UTPB also announced students who qualified for the President's and
Dean's honor roll list for Summer 2003.
Students who have a semester Grade Point Average (GPA) of a 3.50 to
3.99 are listed on the Dean's Honor List.
Students who have achieved a 4.0 GPA are listed on the President's
Honor List. Students seeking their first bachelor's degree only are
eligible once they have earned at least 12 credit hours at U.T. Permian
Basin for the honor rolls.
Students named to the Dean's List honor roll for Summer 2003, from
Pecos include: Cynthia Harmer and Elsa Ward.
