Lyles selected as Employee of the Month
Lyle D. Lyles has been selected as employee of the month for the
month of November.
Mr. Lyles began his career with the Reeves County Detention Center
on May 11, 1987 as a Correctional Officer and was chosen to the Library
in 1994 as a Library Technician III.
Lyles was selected and honored as Employee of the Month in November
of 1997.
As a Library Technician III, Lyles directs, and develops and
monitors the library program.
The Library Officer assists inmate's needs as they are presented.
The librarian sees that all law library and periodical material is as
current as possible.
Lyles is a veteran staff member who has proven himself to be both
extremely reliable and professional.
His work ethics and attitude are of the highest level and his
dedication to the operation of the Reeves County Detention Center is
outstanding, according to RCDC Warden Rudy Franco.
Lyles is married to Rowena Ortiz Lyles and they have two children,
Melissa who is married and lives in Odessa and Lee Dedrick Lyles who is
a Security Forces Officer in the United States Air Force stationed in
San Antonio.
He enjoys walking, jogging, riding motorcycles, listening to music,
learning to play the guitar and spending time with his six-year-old
granddaughter.
The Reeves County Detention Center is proud to recognize Mr. Lyles
as Employee of the Month.
"His high standards, quality of work performance, and
self-motivation have earned him this honor," said Franco.
