Misty Dawn Akins, formerly of Monahans, and Jacob Matthew Williamson, formerly of Pecos, both of Corsicana, were joined in Holy Matrimony at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 12, at the Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Corsicana.

James Matthew Williamon, father of the groom and Pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Pecos, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Robin Akins of Farmersville, Louisiana and the late Cheryl Jane Shoemake Akins, who resided for many years in Monahans. She is the granddaughter of James Harold and Gladys Cypert Shoemake of Cisco, formerly of Monahans, and Mary Rackley Akins of Pecos and Bill Akins of Alpine.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Williamson of Pecos and the grandson of Bettye Ellison Farris of Lubbock and the grandson of the late Elton Elvis Ellison, who lived most of his life in Ralls, Tx. Jacob is the grandson of Tommy and Margie Fowler Williamson of Pecos, former longtime Crosby county residents.

The matron of honor was Kimberly Drake of Corsicana, formerly of Monahans, sister of the bride.

Nicholas Brian Williamson of Pecos served his brother as best man.

Miss Akins' bridal gown was of off-white matte satin. The chapel length veil was fashioned by the groom's mother, Jody Williamson of Pecos, was edged in Venice lace and attached to a rhinestone headpiece chosen by the bride. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and the Matron of Honor wore a complimentary pink gown.

Traditional wedding music was chosen by the couple for their ceremony. The wedding march from Lohengrim by Wagner was played for both the Processional and Recessional.

The bride attended school into her senior year at Monahans High School and graduated Ruston High School in Ruston, Lousiana.

The bridegroom graduated Pecos High School and the Roswell Job Corp. in Roswell, N.M.
