I graduated from Pecos High School in 1966. I just found your website
and enjoy it a great deal. I especially like the archives on Billie Sol
Estes since my first job was working for the Estes family. I thought
how nice it would be to have chat rooms for those of us who have left
Pecos.
Our class hasn't had a reunion since the 15 year. It would be
nice to have chat rooms for those of us who are scattered all over now
and never make it back to Pecos and don't see our old classmates
anymore.

Joy, thanks as this is a very good idea. I am the class of 1961 but I
had a
brother, Edward- class of 1963 and sister Charlotte class of 1968(i
think) I
am living in Tulsa and read the paper when I can to try to keep up with
Good
Ole Pecos. Will watch this section.

I am so glad someone else logged in to this site. Thanks, Sonny. You
were 5 years ahead of me. I had a brother Hal Brown, Jr. that may be
about your age and Seth Brown who was 2 years ahead of me. Do you guys
ever have a class reunion? Hal, Jr. is living in Beaumont now and still
married to his high school sweetheart, Betty Vick Brown.

I graduated from Pecos in 1974. I have two brothers Tommy Greenhill who
graduated in 1967 and Steve Greenhill who graduated in 1970. I would
like to hear from any classmates as I always wonder what has happened to
some of my old friends. Pecos Gab is a good idea. I live in Giddings,
Texas now, but Pecos has lots of memories for me. I hope to hear from
some of the class of 74.
Joy, if you are reading this, I remember how I used to watch you twirl
your baton.

Thanks for the compliment on the twirling part. I did go on to
Southwest Texas in San Marcos. I made it through their tryouts and made
the cut out of 200 to twirl in their corp of 18. That was a great
accomplishment for me and I wanted to prove to Pecos that Mr. Carrico
had made the right decision when he picked me as a majorette over other
girls with more money and small town clout. But after I married, I had
two boys so mostly now I use the batons to get things out from under the
refrigerator or sofa or to protect myself from dogs when I go walking.
Things change!!
I am an insurance adjuster with USAA here in San Antonio, Texas. I am
married to a school teacher with Edgewood School District here. What
are you doing now? Give us a little background! I did look up your
brother Tommy and I do remember him, but it has been a really long time
and I only made it back for one class reunion. Did you ever go back for
reunions?
Thanks so much for writing in. I like this idea of getting back in
touch with people from long ago.
