Guerrero, Perez announce January wedding plans
Dulce and Carmen Guerrero, of Pecos, announce the engagement and approaching
marriage of their daughter, Maribel Guerrero to Jose Perez.
Perez is the son of Francisco and Elodia Perez, of Pecos. He is a graduate
of Pecos High School and is currently employed with Dawson Geophysical.
The bride to be is a graduate of Pecos High School and is employed at
Dollar General Store.
The couple plan to wed, Jan. 1, 2000, at Salon Internacional in Ojinaga,
Chih., Mexico.
Elkins nets degree at ACU
Jana Elkins, of Pecos, graduated from Abilene Christian University with
a Master of Science degree in Computer Science during August commencement.
She is the daughter of C.L. and Patsy Elkins and graduated from Pecos
High School in 1995.
About 150 miles west of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, ACU is affiliated
with the churches of Christ and has an enrollment of more than 4,600 students.
Community housing workshop set
There will be a Community Housing Workshop held in Pecos on Nov. 18, at
the Reeves County Civic Center.
The workshop will begin at 6 p.m. and conclude about 9 p.m.
Representatives from federal and state agencies will be present to discuss
housing assistance programs. These programs include home improvement grants,
loans, etc. The community is encouraged to attend this very worthy workshop.
Admission is free.
