| Daily Newspaper and Travel Guide for Pecos Country of West Texas Lifestyle Tuesday, November 9, 1999 Community Thanksgiving Service set A Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 14, at the First Assembly of God Church, 2209 S. Eddy. Blake Coffee, of Austin, will be the guest speaker. The event is sponsored by the Ministerial Fellowship of Pecos and everyone is invited to attend. Poster winners named Three students from Pecos Elementary School were winners of the Fire Prevention Poster Contest, in the Intermediate Division Two. First place winner, Latasha Luster; second place recipient, Heath Armstrong and third place winner, Kelreen Darpolar. Pecos Elementary School Principal Gail Norris presented the students. Students of the six weeks honored Michael Nichols and Cheryl Ortiz were named Students of the First Six Weeks at Zavala Middle School.
