Flu shots offered
Flu shots will be offered from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 2,
at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, 700 Daggett.
Flu shots will cost $10, unless you have a Medicare card.
Contreras named employee of month
Laura Contreras has been selected as Employee of the Month for October
1999 at the Reeves County Detention Center.
Contreras has been employed at the Reeves County Detention Center since
Jan. 26, 1998. She started as a secretary and was later promoted to the
position of Administrative Assistant to the Warden.
Contreras is the proud mother of two children.
"She is dedicated, trustworthy and dependable," said RCDC Warden Rudy
Franco.
Contreras in addition to her regular duties, does an excellent job assisting
the Deputy Warden, and both Assistant Wardens, according to Franco. "She
also assists all departments with administrative support," he said.
Contreras' knowledge and expertise is evident in all that she does.
"She meets all critical deadlines and crucial matters are dealt with efficiently
and in a professional manner," said Franco.
"She is a valuable asset to the Reeves County Detention Center," said
Franco. "Her family and friends have every reason to be proud of all her
contributions," he said.
"The staff and I at the Reeves County Detention Center wish to thank
Laura for a job well done," said Franco.
