Home, garden club plans fruitcake sale

The Merry Home and Garden Club met recently in the home of the club president, Gretchen Luna.

The club honored Fannie Camp who will soon be moving. Camp has been a member of the club for 40 years. She has served in many offices and is now the club secretary.

The chairman of the fruitcake committee, Doris Moorman, announced the sale of fruit cakes will begin soon. Proceeds of the sale are given to the West of the Pecos Museum, the Pecos Tree Board, and other groups involved in beautifying the city.

The project for the day was decorating grapevine wreaths using native dried plants.
