Rodriguez named officer of month
Rose Rodriguez has been selected as Correctional Officer of the Month for
July 1999 at the Reeves County Detention Center.
Rodriguez has been employed at the Reeves County Detention Center since
Sept. 12, 1996.
She is a Correctional Officer and is presently assigned to the Control
Center.
Rodriguez is the proud mother of one daughter.
"She has proven to be a self-motivated person and a great asset to the
Custody Department and the institution," said RCDC Warden Rudy Franco.
"She is a dedicated, trustworthy, and a dependable employee," he said.
While working in the Control Center, she has done an outstanding job
in dealing with overall institution operations as well as emergency situations,
according to Franco. She also assists the Shift Lieutenants.
"I would like to take this opportunity to wish Ms. Rodriguez continued
success in her career with the Reeves County Detention Center," said Franco.
Sul Ross students named to list
Sul Ross State University has named 261 students to its Dean's List for
the 1999 spring semester.
Undergraduate students enrolled for 12 or more semester hours who maintain
a grade point average of 3.3 or better are eligible for the Dean's List.
Graduate hours are not included in Dean's List computations.
Students on the spring honor list, their hometowns, majors and grade
point averages, include: from Pecos, Crissy Dominguez, 3.8, Business-Office
Occupations; Reynaldo Dominguez, 3.5, Interdisciplinary Studies; Nikki
Matta, 3.6, Interdisciplinary Studies and Jesus Zuniga, 3.8, Business-Office
Occupations.
