Rodriguez nets scholarship
Classic Cable has announced the list of scholarship recipients for the
1998-1999 school year. The scholarships are awarded to qualified students,
in the Classic Cable service area, who demonstrate both academic and extracurricular
leadership skills. Over 700 applications were submitted for consideration
and of those submitted 90 scholarships will be awarded in our eight-state
service area.
Classic Cable congratulates Efrain Rodriguez, of Pecos, as the recipient
of a 1999 Classic Cable scholarship for this area.
Applications are evaluated by a committee in three categories: 1. completeness
of accordance with scholarship criteria. 2. distinctive academic and extracurricular
achievement: and 3. demonstration of leadership at school and in the community.
Over $25,000 will be awarded this spring to the students that have met
these high criteria.
Classic views the scholarship program as the cornerstone of their ever-growing
commitment to enhance the quality of life in the communities they serve.
The program is considered a major success and Classic is extremely pleased
to help so many deserving young people pursue their educational dreams.
Classic Cable remains committed to the communities we provide with cable
television service. Our participation in the Classic Cable Scholarship
Fund enables us to show our dedication to tomorrow's leaders in those communities.
