Fowler nets degree at Tech
More than 1,400 students at Texas Tech University received
degrees during 1998 fall commencement exercises.
Graduating students included the following from the Pecos
area: John Terrell Fowler, a bachelor of science degree, in
food technology.
Varela celebrates first birthday
Alejandra Rose Varela celebrated her first birthday on Feb.
21, at the Reeves County Civic Center with famiy and friends.
The theme for the party was Winnie the Pooh.
Her favorite gift was the Sing-N-Giggle Winnie the Pooh
given to her by her uncle Ted Cabral, Jr.
She is the daughter of Frances Varela.
Little Alejandra is the granddaughter of Rosemary Varela.
Her great-grandparents are Teodoro and Consuelo Cabral and
Alberto and Belem Varela.
