Simmons named employee of month
Vanessa Simmons has been selected as Employee of the Month
for February at the Reeves County Detention Center.
Simmons has been employed at the Reeves County Detention
Center since Jan. 13, 1997. She started as a correctional
officer and later advanced to a position in Central Laundry
and Warehouse. She is the proud mother of two children.
Simmons as a Warehouse Officer assists line officers solving
issues ranging from facility property to Safety and
Sanitation in a very professional manner.
She has proven to be a self-motivated person and a great
asset to her department and the institution, according to
RCDC Warden Rudy Franco.
"She is a role model for all to follow and is always ready
to help other departments when requested," said Franco.
"During this rating period it was evident that Simmons is a
tireless worked who continually seeks new challenges and
meets challenges with a fierce determination," said Franco.
"I would like to take this opportunity to wish her continued
success in her career with the Reeves County Detention
Center," he said.
