We should hear next month on the grant money for the
Balmorhea City park. There is a talent show in the works for
February to raise more funds. For more information you can
contact Dr. Hoffmeyer or Karen Pogue.

The next Parent Teacher Organization Meeting will be at 7:30
p.m. today, at 7:30 p.m. in the BISD Learning Center. All
parents are encourage to attend.

The Balmorhea FFA kids showed their livestock this weekend
at the Reeves County Stock Show in Pecos.

Junior High Basketball game this week will be today in
Balmorhea against the Grandfalls Cowboys. Junior varsity and
varsity will play in Alpine on Tuesday. Varsity Girls will
play Grandfalls there on Tuesday and go against Dell City
here as will the junior varsity boys and varsity boys teams.

Late spring registration set


Odessa College is closed today, in observance of the
birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. The college will re-open
at 8 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Students can still register for classes for the spring
semester at Odessa College util 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25.

Although classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 19, late registration
will be held in the registrar's office on the second floor
of the Student Union Building from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Tuesday-Thursday, Jan. 19-21; 8:30 a.m-4 p.m. Friday, Jan.
22; and from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday, Jan. 25.

New students must go to the admissions office in the Student
Union Building, Room 107, to be admitted before they can
register.

All students must provide documentation of Texas residency
for 12 months prior to enrollment to avoid paying the
non-resident tuition rate.

Transfer students must furnish an official transcript and
TASP scores.

Students may arrange to pay tuition in three installments,
with one-half due on the day of registration, or with a
short-term loan, which requires a 10 percent down payment. A
$15 fee is charged for both payment methods.
