OC schedules spring semester


Registration for Odessa College's spring semester will be
held 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 12-13, and
noon-5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14. Classes will begin Tuesday,
Jan. 19. Those students taking only night courses also may
register on any of the three evenings from 5-8 p.m.

To start the registration process, all students should go to
the information center at the Student Activities Center in
Travis Hall. Students with a last name beginning with A-L
will register Tuesday, Jan. 12. Those with a last name
beginning with M-Z will register Wednesday, Jan. 13. Anyone
may register Thursday, Jan. 14.

Students may arrange to pay tuition in three installments,
with one-half due on the day of registration, or with a
short-term loan, which requires 10 percent down payment. A
$15 fee is charged for both payment methods.

Students who have completed 15 semester hours at OC may
apply for federal loans. Federal grants also are still
available. Awards will not be available until later in the
semester, however.

Proof of Texas residency for 12 consecutive months prior to
enrollment is required at registration to qualify for Texas
resident fees.

All transfer students must furnish an official transcript
and TASP scores.

Training center holds registration


The Midland College Regional Technical Training Center is
offering Massage Therapy for Certification courses beginning
Friday, Jan. 22.

The Massage Therapy course will prepare students for the
State Massage Therapy Registration Exam for Certification
and License once completed. The 300-hour course includes:
125 hours in Swedish Massage Techniques, 75 hours in areas
such as Physiology such as Hydrotherapy, 50 hours internship.

Classes will be held every other weekend on Friday nights
and Saturdays. The course fee is $985. The Regional
Technical Training center is still accepting registration.
The RTTC is located 1201 IH-10 in Fort Stockton.
