Gil completes Basic Training
Air Force Airman Christopher J. Gil has graduated from basic military
training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission,
organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony
marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training
exercises, and special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an
associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Patricia Ann Gil of Odessa and Arturo Corrales of Pecos.
Gil is a 2002 graduate of the high school program at the Ector County
Career Center, Odessa.
Mendoza celebrates first birthday
Aaron Shaye Mendoza celebrated his first birthday on Nov. 24.
Theme for the special event was "Monsters, Inc." He was born Nov. 27,
2001.
Aaron is the son of Josue and Veronica Mendoza.
Paternal grandparents are Elida and Guadalupe Mendoza.
Maternal grandparents are Hortencia and Israel Marruffo.
