Gomez named Employee of the Month
Arturo Gomez has been selected as Employee of the Month for October at
the Reeves County Detention Center I.
Gomez is a Unit Counselor at RCDC 1.
He began his career in Sheffield, where he worked as a juvenile correctional
officer before being hired at the Pecos facility.
Gomez lists his hobbies as traveling, hanging around the house and helping
his parents with their restaurant business.
Gomez began his career with the Reeves County Detention Center on Nov.
16, 1998 and was promoted on May 29, 2001, to his current rank of Unit Counselor.
He is a veteran officer who has proven himself to be both extremely reliable
and professional. His work ethics and attitude are of the highest quality
level and he is a prime example of the officer's employed at the Reeves County
Detention Center, according to RCDC Warden Rudy Franco.
"Mr. Gomez is dedicated to the operation of the Reeves County Detention
Center," said Franco. "He accepts additional responsibilities and accomplishes
all assigned tasks in minimal time," he said.
Gomez' attitude of self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly have
earned him this honor.
"Mr. Gomez has stepped forward and can be relied upon by his supervisors
to assist them in any way possible," said Franco. "He has continuously executed
his responsibilities in the highest professional manner, and has always taken
pride as a unit counselor of the Reeves County Detention Center," he said.
The Reeves County Detention Center is proud to recognize Unit Counselor
Arturo Gomez as Employee of the Month.
"His high standards, quality of work performance, and self-motivation
have earned him this honor," said Franco. "We wish him continued success
in his career with the Reeves County Detention Center," he said.
