Bend named Officer of the Month at RCDC-II
Officer Jack Bend has been selected as Correctional Officer of the Month
at the Reeves County Detention Center II for the month of September.
Bend is the proud father of two daughters and three grandchildren.
He has served in the Army for 30 years and is currently in the Army National
Guard with the rank of Sergeant First Class.
Officer Bend began his employment with the Reeves County Detention Center
on July 15, 1990.
He was promoted to Correctional Officer II in 1992 and then promoted to
Correctional Officer III in 1995.
Bend is a member of the Certified Emergency Response Team.
His work ethics and attitude are at the highest level and his dedication
to the operation of the Reeves County Detention is outstanding, according
to RCDC Warden Rudy Franco.
"Mr. Bend has worked all pertinent posts, and willingly accepts additional
responsibilities," said Franco.
He was selected among many other officers as Acting Lieutenant.
These selections were based on his exceptional work ethics, reliability
and dedication, according to Franco. "He accomplishes all assigned tasks
in minimal time with exceptional results," he said.
As a Correctional Officer III, Bend's primary responsibility is to maintain
security and control of the institution. "Mr. Bend has continuously executed
this responsibility in the highest respect, and has always taken pride in
his position with the Reeves County Detention Center," said Franco.
The Reeves County Detention Center is proud to recognize Officer Bend
as Correctional Officer of the Month.
"His high standards, quality of work performance, and self-motivation
have earned him this honor," said Franco. "It is a pleasure to be associated
with an individual such as Mr. Bend, who exhibits such professionalism
and dedication," said Franco. "We wish him continued success in his
career with the Reeves County Detention Center," he said.
