Dominguez, Torrence wed in Florida

Katherine Dominguez and Daniel Torrence were married on July 22, in Destin, Fla., at a sunset ceremony.

Serving as bridesmaids were Marianne Rivas, formerly of Pecos and Jyn Kilcrease, sister of the bride.

Best man was Zac Mires, friend of the groom, and Randy Torrence, brother of the groom.

Katherine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Dominguez of Pecos and Daniel Torrence is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lanny Torrence of Victoria.

He is a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Victoria and a graduate of Texas Tech University. He is currently working for Black and Decker, Inc., as a territory manager.

The bride is a graduate of Pecos High School and a graduate of Texas Tech University.

The couple now reside in San Antonio.

Study club plans meeting

The Modern Study Club will meet at 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 25, for a Public Affairs Department meeting with Margie Williamson, Chairman of the Department in charge. The First Christian Church, 423 S. Elm, is the meeting site.

Mike Balog, Pecos Police Community Service Officer will present Community Crime Prevention Awareness: Crimes Most Prevalent in Our Community. Officer Balog will also tell of a new program "in the works" called Pecos Police Department Citizen Police Academy.

The thought-quote for the meeting is _ "God stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity." _ Proverbs 2:7 NAS Bible.

Roll call will be answered by responding to the question _ What would you do to prevent crime, if you were in charge?

Projects for this bi-monthly meeting are helping with the maintenance of the Bridal Suite at the West of the Pecos Museum and other contributions to the museum.

Hostesses for the gathering will be Nan Cate, Iris Reddick and Gretchen Luna.
