Moody to be

honored by

Avon reps

Cora Moody, of Pecos, will be honored for 50 years of association with Avon Products, Inc., with a special reception held in honor on Sunday, Aug. 18.

Moody, 84, began associated with "Avon Products" when the company was known as the California Perfume Company. Her mother, Sadie Draper of Balmorhea, became a representative of the California Perfume Company in 1920 when Mrs. Moody was a toddler of two years old.

The California Perfume Company began in the 1880's under the direction of David H. McConnell. The name change was made in the 1930's. What other company has a loyal customer and representative for 82 years?

In 2002, Moody continues to be a top-seller and top achiever in her Avon District #7377, which encompasses over 24,000 square miles of West Texas and includes the following 10 counties: Winkler, Ward, Crane, Pecos, Terrell, Brewster, Presidio, Jeff Davis, Reeves and Loving.

Everyone is invited to attend the reception which will be held at the Best Western Swiss Clock Inn Banquet Room on Aug. 18, from 2-4 p.m., and will be hosted by District Manager Fran Phillips and Avon Representatives of District #7377.

For more information, contact Fran Phillips at 915-639-2623 or by e-mail at franphillips@avon.net.
