Thomason, Elder wed in Amarillo Cowboy Church
Vincent Bryce Thomason and Leigh Melissa Elder exchanged wedding vows
at 7:30 p.m., Aug 1, at Amarillo Cowboy Church.
The groom is the son of Vince and Melody Thomason of Muleshoe and the
grandson of Jerry and Loys Thomason and Bill and Jo McMillian, all of Pecos.
Thomason a 2001 graduate of Muleshoe High School, attends South Plains
College. He is currently employed at V&M Construction Co., as an equipment
operator.
The bride is the daughter of Eddy and Tammy Mardis and Lee and Pati Elder,
all of Canyon. She is a 2002 graduate of Sudan High School and will attend
South Plains College in the Fall.
Crawford receives cum laude honors
The University of Texas of the Permian Basin announced graduates for Spring
2002. Commencement ceremonies were conducted on May 11.
Graduates from Pecos are included, BA in History, Diana Crawford.
In addition, Crawford also received "cum laude" honors in history.
Students graduating with their first baccalaureate degree were eligible
for earning Latin honor rankings, based upon grade point averages.
To receive cum laude honors, a student must have a 3.50-3.79 GPA.
