Golden Girl Nominee
Rachel Rubio
Rachel Ann Rubio is the 17-year-old of Norma and Enrique Rubio.
She is being sponsored by Low Rates Auto Repair and Old Mill Barbecue.
Miss Rubio was a G-force Gymnastics Trampoline and Tumbling National Qualifier;
United States Cheerleader Achievement Award 2000-2001; Varsity Cheerleader
Captain, 2000-2001; Youth Advisory Committee; 3-year member of Pecos High
School band, dance and drill team and Santa Rosa Folklorico Dancer.
Following high school graduation, she plans to attend college and major
in pre-law.
"I enjoy surfing the net, gymnastics, singing, cheerleading, dancing and
reading," said Miss Rubio.
Miss Rubio has worked as an office assistant- Gym-Tyme Tumbling and Gymnastics;
teacher's aide at the Pecos High School and cheerleading.
"One thing my parents have instilled in me, `with God first in my life
all things are possible,'" said Miss Rubio.
