Fierro Area students get degrees from UTPB The Univ. of Texas of the Permian Basin awarded more than 150 bachelor's and master's degrees to students during the Dec. 15 graduation ceremony. Students from Pecos who received a degree include David Jaso, son of Leo and Sabina Jaso of Pecos, BA, speech; Beatrice Matta, the daughter of Cipriano and Agapita Matta of Pecos, BA, humanities and Marivel Arenivas, BA, history. GED testing planned GED testing has been scheduled for Monday, April 8 and Thursday, April 11, at 4:45 p.m., at the Pecos High School. Registration will be held Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4, from 1-5 p.m., at the Pecos High School Counselors office.
