Rodriguez brothers celebrate birthdays
Michael Tyler, three years old and Avery Raymond Rodriguez, two, visited
Pecos for the holidays and celebrated their birthdays with family and friends.
The theme was Scooby Doo and their favorite toys were fire trucks.
They currently reside in San Diego, Calif.
The boys are the sons of Michael and Kristy Rodriguez.
Michael is an Aviation Electronics Technician Third Class Petty Officer
for the U.S. Navy stationed in MCAS Miramar.
Grandparents are Raymond and Monce Lara of Pecos, Mike and Linda Farmer
of Crane, and Albert Rodriguez of Midland.
Vela participates in San Antonio tourney
Eddie Vela participated in the River City Ice Breaker 2002 Tournament
in San Antonio, this past weekend with the Selective Team of Odessa Cobras,
winning three out of four games placing them in second place.
Vela has been playing baseball with the Cobras for two years and is a
pitcher and plays right field.
They will be playing in Euless, Tx., near Dallas, Ft. Worth on March 9-10.
He is the son of Gabriela Vela of Pecos and Lionel Zapata of Austin.
