Jasso named  employee of the month

Rick Jasso has been selected as the Reeves County Detention Center's employee of the Month for the month of February.

Jasso initially began his employment with the Detention Center in July 1994 and departed briefly in November 1996.

On Jan. 15, 1997, Jasso returned to the detention center permanently.

He has worked as a Correctional Officer in all pertinent posts at the facility, as a food service foreman and is currently a Case Manager. Jasso was promoted to that position in September 2000 and has proven to be a valuable asset to Case Management and the facility as a whole.

As a Case Manager, Jasso's primary responsibility is the management and maintenance of individual inmate files, financial responsibility programs and special needs or restrictions for inmate's assigned to his case load, as well as the security and control of the institution.

Jasso has exhibited a high caliber of self-motivation and quality of work performance. He holds the respect of inmates and peers alike, evidence that he is truly deserving of the award he has been selected to receive.

He is a proud husband and father to wife Cristy and children, Ashley and Derick. He aspires with their continued support to continue seeking advancement within the organization with an ultimate goal of Warden in the future, according to Reeves County Detention Center Warden Rudy Franco.

"For now he continuously strives to be the most successful Case Manager he can be," said Franco.

"It is truly a pleasure to be associated with an individual such as Mr. Jasso, and we wish him continued success with his career at the Reeves County Detention Center," said Franco.
