Shields receives Master's degree
At the summer 2001 graduation, Texas Tech University presented 1,014 students
with degrees _ 754 bachelors, 211 masters, 43 doctorates and eight law.
Receiving a degree from Pecos, was Amy Catharine Shields, who majored
in Elementary Education and received her Master of Education degree this
summer.
Ramirez celebrates second birthday
Jaymie McKenzie Rae Ramirez celebrated her second birthday with a party
held in her honor at her great-grandmother's house.
Theme for the special event was Elmo.
She celebrated her birthday with her great-grandmother, Ernestina Natividad.
Family and friends were on hand to help celebrate.
Special guests included Jaymie's brother and sister, Noah Samuel and
Sydnie Erinn Ramirez.
Jaymie's birthday is Nov. 18.
She is the daughter of Kimberly Orona.
Grandparents are Lupita Natividad and Ray and Elva Orona.
Great-grandparents are Ben and Ernestina Natividad, all of Pecos.
