Aguilar promoted in U.S. Marines
Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Eric A. Aguilar, son of Emma L. and Richard Aguilar,
of Pecos, recently was promoted to his current rank while serving with 2
nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Marine
Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
Aguilar was promoted based on sustained superior job performance and proficiency
in his designated specialty.
Aguilar is a 1998 graduate of Pecos High School of Pecos and joined the
Marine Corps in June 2000.
Williamson's tell of new son
Joseph Mark and Sarah Jane Williamson, of Katy, are proud to announce
the arrival of their first son, John Mark Williamson, who was born on Oct.
2, at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston.
John Mark weighed 12 pounds and two ounces and was 22 ½ inches
long. HE was welcomed upon his arrival by sisters, Jennifer Maryann and Jessica
M'Lynn Wiliamson.
Tommy and Margie Williamson, of Pecos, are his paternal grandparents and
Harry Harrell of Amarillo is his maternal grandfather. The late Margaret
Harrell of Pecos was his maternal grandmother and will be remembered by many
in Pecos as an instructor of business classes at Pecos High School.
Elementary school plans presentation
Bessie Haynes Elementary School will be having a special presentation
titled, "Shh! We're Writing the Constitution," at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 19,
in the school cafeteria.
Parents and community members are invited to attend and join the school
students as they celebrate the nation's history.
