Twentieth Century meets at theatre for program
Twentieth Century Club met Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the State Theatre for
a special meeting and tour of the renovated theatre in downtown Pecos.
The meeting was hosted by Becky Patterson, Cynthia Armbruster and Lillian
Creasy.
The club members were met in the lobby and provided with popcorn, cookies
and drinks and the ladies had the opportunity to see themselves on the "big
screen," as they had been videotaped while they were visiting in the lobby.
Lila Cerna, president of the club, opened the meeting, introduced visitor,
Susann Flowers, and after a short business meeting, turned the program over
to Lillian Creasy.
Richard and Lillian Creasy presented a program of the restoration of the
State Theatre and a filmed tour of the building.
The program was concluded with a special showing of "an American Tribute."
The program also helped demonstrate the new equipment at the theatre with
the capability of showing video, DVD, digital, and computer presentations
on the big screen. The Creasy's said this would allow them to do individualized
showings for birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, etc.
The couple said that their goal has always been to make the State Theatre
a facility to serve the community in more venues than just a motion picture
theatre.
Cerna thanked everyone for attending, and the meeting was adjourned.

27, at the Pecos Community Building.
