| Daily Newspaper and Travel Guide for Pecos Country of West Texas Lifestyle Thursday, August 16, 2001 Soto, Lomeli announce August wedding plans Rafaela Nunez and Adrian Gonzales Soto, of Pecos, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Vanessa Nunez Soto to Javier Torres Lomeli. Lomeli, of Kermit, is the son of Maria De Jesus Torres Rodriguez and Rogelio Lomeli of Jalisco, Mexico. The future bride is in her last year at Pecos High School and is currently employed at the Texas Department of Human Services through the JTPA program. The couple plan to wed at 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, at the future bride's home with Justice of the Peace Amonario Ramon officiating. A dinner will be held following the ceremony and sponsored by both families. Barreno graduates from training Airman 1st Class Marco A. Barreno recently graduated from Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, where he received a pin for marksmanship. He will be attending tech school at Sheppard Air Force Base where he will be studying to be a Jet Mechanic. He is the son of Larry and Debra Martinez.
