Rodriguez celebrates sixth birthday

Jayme Lee Rodriguez celebrated his sixth birthday with a party held in his honor in El Paso, June 6, with his aunt Betty and uncle Dee Farnum.

Family and friends were on hand to help him celebrate including his sister, Jessica Rodriguez. He is the son of Jaime and Diana Rodriguez.

Maternal grandparents are Elodia and William D. Hartnett.

Paternal grandmother is Eva Rodriguez and paternal grandfather was the late Juan Rodriguez.
 

Pecos students make honors

More than 3,900 Texas Tech University students qualified for academic honors lists at the end of the spring semester.

Stephanie Anne Armstrong of Pecos was named to the President's List. She is a senior majoring in agricultural communications.

John Albert Lee of Pecos was named to the Dean's List and is a senior majoring in Biology.

Craig Douglas Wein was named to the Dean' List. He is a freshman majoring in COBA.

Students on the President's List earned a 4.0 grade point average while enrolled in 12 or more semester h ours of class work. Students who carried 12 or more hours with a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.9 qualified for the Dean's List.

Dominguez nets high school diploma

Randy Leonard Dominguez recently graduated from Pecos High School.

He is the son of Martha Leonard.

Grandparents are Jim and Elidia Leonard.
 

Girl Scout Membership Rally set

A Girl Scout Membership Rally will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday, July 28.

Rallies will be held at five locations including the Girl Scout House, 715 S. Park in Pecos; Girl Scout Council Office, 5217 N. Dixie in Odessa; Midland Park Mall in Midland; Camp Mitre Peak in Fort Davis and Alley Oop Pool in Iraan.

Grab on as we launch the new 2001-2002 membership year with an event full of fun, hotdogs, cookies, crafts, games, and door prizes.
