Pattillo, Rice announce June wedding plans

David Pattillo, of Pecos and Vicki Hill, of Lubbock announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Erinn Pattillo, of Seguin to Boyd Rice.

Rice, also of Seguin, is the son of Olan and Wanda Rice of Lubbock. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1984, graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Telecommunications in 1990, and graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a Master in Education in 2000.

Rice is currently employed as assistant principal at Briesmeister Middle School in Seguin.

The future bride graduated from Pecos High School in 1993 and graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Science in 1998. She is a science teacher at Saegert Middle School in Seguin.

Her grandparents are Jo Pattillo and Audrey Hill of Pecos.

The couple plan to wed June 30 in Slaton.

Matta earns degree at Angelo State

A Pecos student at Angelo State University was among 440 students to receive degrees during the Spring commencement at the university.

Elizabeth Prieto Matta received a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in English.

Curfew hours should be observed

Pecos Police Department would like to remind the community that curfew hours for minors are: 10 p.m. on any Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday until 6 a.m., on the following day; and 12:01 a.m. until 6 a.m., on any Saturday or Sunday.

Please assist the department in the compliance of this ordinance.
