Pecosites make Dean's List
PECOS, April 9, 2001 - Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) announced
that a total of 566 students comprised the university's winter quarter
Dean's List and two Pecos students are listed.
Jonathan M. Gregersen is majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Moses
M. Darpolar is majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Both are listed on the
Dean's List for the winter quarter.
The Dean's List consists of those students who earned a minimum cumulative
grade point average of 3.2 and have completed a minimum of 30 total credits.
Students who earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 or more are listed
as having high honors.
Founded in 1903, MSOE is a private university with about 3,000 students.
The university offers 16 undergraduate degrees in engineering, business,
management information systems, communication, construction management,
nursing and transfer programs in engineering technology and management.
Graduate degree programs are offered in engineering, engineering management,
architectural engineering, environmental engineering, medical informatics
and perfusion.
Guzman celebrates second birthday
PECOS, April 9, 2001 - Genaro Guzman III celebrated his second birthday
with a party held in his honor on Saturday, March 31, at his aunt's house.
Theme for the special event was "Blue's Clues."
Family and friends were on hand to help celebrate.
His favorite gift was a monster truck given to him by his parents.
He is the son of Genaro and Lourdes Guzman and his one sister, Viviana
Guzman.
Grandparents are Julia and Ruben Cazares and Genaro and Lorenza Guzman.
Barbecue fundraiser set
PECOS, April 9, 2001 - The Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame organization will be
holding a barbecue plate sale fundraiser on May 5, at the Reeves County
Sheriff's Posse Barn.
The plate sale will begin at 10 a.m. and cost will be $4.50 per plate.
Plates will consist of barbecue, potato salad, beans, onions and pickles.
