Registration set for course

Registration for the Nurse Assistant Training Program will be held at the Pecos Technical Training Center on Aug. 15.

The program will run from Aug. 22 until Nov. 7, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m.

Individuals can register on or before Aug. 15.

The program is sponsored by Odessa College's Continuing Education Department.

Fierro celebrates second birthday

Ydalis Fierro celebrated her 2nd birthday on Saturday, June 11, with a party held in her honor at Maxey Park.

Her birthday was June 13.

Theme for the event was Barbie and she received a lot of barbie dolls.

Ydalis parents are Victor and Liz Fierro of Pecos.

Helping her celebrate were her two brothers, Victor III and A.J. Fierro.

Paternal grandparents are Victor Fierro Sr. and Maria Fierro.

Maternal grandparents are Pablo Gonzales and the late Elisa Gonzales.

Orozco named to President's List

David Lopez Orozco of Pecos earned a place on the President's Honor Roll for the Fall Quarter at Texas State Technical College (TSTC) in Waco.

Orozco is in the Biomedical Equipment Technology program.

The President's Honor Roll recognizes the scholastic achievement of students with a perfect grade point average of 4.0.

Texas State Technical College in Waco is part of the only state-supported technical college system in Texas. Other campuses are located in Harlingen, Marshall, and Sweetwater. For six consecutive years, TSTC Waco has produced more graduates earning associate degrees in engineering-related technologies than any other public two-year college in America, according to Community College Week. With more than 30 instructional programs in critical and emerging technologies, TSTC is preparing a workforce to meet the demands of industries and businesses.
