Advance registration planned

Advance registration for Odessa College's Summer II and fall sessions will be held 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Tuesday, June 12-13, at the Registrar's Office on the second floor of the Student Union Building.

Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid, which is still available for summer and fall classes.

For more information, call the Odessa College Admissions Office at 335-6432 from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday during the summer or visit the Odessa College web page at http://www.odessa.edu.

Jones celebrate golden wedding anniversary

Elgin Ray "Punk" Jones and Mary Belle Steddum were married in the Ibex community of Shackelford County near Albany, Tx., June 7, 1950.

They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in Wink, May 20, at a family dinner given by their children.

Punk and Mary Belle have five children, 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

They have lived in Loving County for over 47 years.

Ramon receives degree

At commencement exercises held on May 13 at Convocation Center University of Texas, San Antonio, Anthony Eric Ramon received a Baccalaureate Degree in College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Degree in Criminal Justice (honors) with emphasis in law enforcement. He had graduated from South Plains College with an A.S. in Pre-Engineering and A.A. in Criminal Justice (Honors) also.

Eric is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Amonario Ramon and a 1994 graduate of Pecos High School who currently resides in San Antonio.

Amonario Ramon, a graduate from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, currently resides in Dallas and is employed by Openconnet Computer Systems in Dallas.

Both were taking a trip to Cancun, Mexico as a graduation gift to Eric. The two will enjoy scuba diving, a sport both are very accomplished at and at which they have competed in.

The brothers have taken scuba diving classes and enjoy competing in the sport.
