Madrid named employee of month
PECOS, May 26, 2000 - Aidee Madrid has been selected as Employee of the
Month for May 2000, at the Reeves County Detention Center.
Madrid has been an employee at the RCDC since Aug. 22, 1995, where she
started as a Transportation Officer then later transferred to the Education
Department as an Education Specialist.
Madrid oversees the English as a Second Language Program, typing classes
and assists in the library. She also revises and ensures all paper work
reported to Odessa College is in compliance. She displays excellent communication
skills in dealing effectively with all inmates and assures their educational
needs are met. She has been instrumental in re-scheduling classes to accommodate
the growing inmate population attending the Education Classes at the institution.
Madrid demonstrates high professional standards not only in the Education
Department but also in the institution, according to RCDC Warden Rudy Franco.
"She is very knowledgeable on policy and procedures and is always willing
to assist new staff," said Franco. "Her rapport with all staff is excellent,"
he said.
She is a member of the Disturbance Control Team.
Madrid is married to Ben Madrid and the proud mother of two sons.
"We are very proud of Ms. Madrid, and we wish her continued success
in her career accomplishments at the Reeves County Detention Center," said
Franco.
