Hey gang - greetings from Pecos, Texas. This is Debbie Herrera
Flores...getting on the Pecos Gab is really a lot of fun. Catching up with
old friends is really neat. Our reunion isn't for a while, but I would
like to hear from you all, especially if you address has changed since
then. Just a couple of weeks ago our oldest daughter, Sarah, graduated
from old PHS so hard to believe. She will be going to McMurry to
swim. She is so excited.
Kelsey will be a freshman and I know she will do her part in keeping us

Beverly Prewit Lindemann died on June 16, from pneumonia. She had had a
double lung transplant Oct. 1998. Beverly left many of us with wonderful
memories. She was Roy's youngest sister. She was a wife and a wonderful
mother to her four children and a fun grandmother to her fifteen
grandchildren and one great grand-child. She was my best friend, and we are
all missing her terribly. All of us in her family are listed organ donors.
She was a true believer and promoter in this most necessary cause. Her
transplant gave her two and a half good years that she would not have had,

High through my senior year in '59. My former name was Alice Falcon. Gosh,
that was a long time ago, it wasn't until I was 21 that I discovered my name
was Alida, when I applied for a passport because I became an airline

I seem to have lost some Pecos Gab pages, from about May 1 forward. It could be my computer, could probably
be msn, and might even be me. Is there any way to recall them.
On another point, I seem to remember seeing an entry that mentioned Mike Rhodes, ex PHS basketball coach,
from the late 80's. I don't recall if the mail was from him or from someone who knew him. Either way, I would
dearly love to be able to communicat with him. My son played for him in '85 and '86.

My mom found this site and told me I'd better get on it! (she and Dad
still goin' strong at 85 ) As usual, she's right! So
many memories here...
After missing the 10th and 20th for the Class of '75, you can count on
me for 2005 (really, Cliff and Debbie, I promise!!!)
From living in Denver, Anchorage, and Chicago, I finally got the clue
that snow and I don't mix, and came back to Texas (Georgetown/Austin) in
1994. Been with United Airlines for about 15 years now, currently a Boeing
767 Captain, based in Washington, DC until last December, now based in
Chicago (worst part of the commute is the drive to the airport). A lot of my
free time is spent with airplanes too, having restored some really old ones
in the past few years. I'd like to hear from all of you...drop a note!!

I have a snapshot of a young woman who is wearing a long riding skirt and a
wide brimmed hat and the inscription on the back of the picture is "Lula
Matthews, Marfa, Texas". The picture was probably taken in the late 1800's
or early 1900's. I also have a picture ( head shot) of a man with the name
"Orin Matthews" written on the back. They may or may not be husband and wife

Jim Slack -- I was wondering if you were kin to the slacks who went to the
Prespertyrian Church in the early70's? I just remember a lady and her
daughter [ one of their names was Ann] who used to be so nice to my mom who
was a single mom of 3 kids and she would come by and give us all of the
clothes that her kids would outgrow. I was able to go to school looking nice
because of this sweet lady. I now try to follow her example and do the same.

Hello You Texans! My former name was Mary Ellen Talamantez, I now reside
in Wisconsin, have been here for 30 yrs. Will be celebrating my 30th
anniversary, I have a 15 year old son. My one and only child. Our
family moved to Tucson, Arizona in the Summer of 1968. In Tucson, I met
my husband, we got married in 1971 and have been living in the "Northern
Tundra" for the last 30 yrs. I was a legal secretary for 15yrs, had my
son in 1986, and started a "Mobil Mini Mart" business in 1992. I am the
president of my company, it's been a good business, with the exception of
the last two years of rising gas prices. Would love to hear from former
classmates. The one particular classmate whom everyone remembers is
Alicia Anaya. I believe she is the County Treasurer of Reeves County? I
use to "chum" with Ramona Gochicova, Crissy Tersero, Rachel Flores, Elisa

interesting. Its pretty cool how you can keep up with your former class mates. I'm now living in Midland, I have 3 children , I
was living in San Diego for 4 yrs and If youv'e never been to San Diego, you need to go. Anyways, like I said , I have 3
children and I am married to a man I met here in Midland, I sometimes go to Pecos and it has changed a great deal. I wanted
to let ya'll know that Kim Calhoun is married and just had her baby, A beautiful baby girl!!!! she was born in midland, at
1:15pm on May the 12th and weighed almost 8lbs. Kim is doing well, she and her husband Lee Rivera are 2 very proud

Hi--my name is Betty Smith. My husband Leslie, daughters Debra and Sharon
Smith and I lived in Pecos from 1966 to 1978. Leslie was pastor of First
Baptist Church. I was part mother to many of the kids there at the church
and loved every minute of it. Pecos was a very wonderful place to live and
we have so many good memories of our time there. We've been keeping up
