She is sponsored by Engine Service Inc. Miss Ryan is a member of the Pecos High School Eagle Band, served on the Eagle yearbook committee and is a member of the Business Professionals of America. This year she advanced to state competition in both solo and ensemble in band and document formating with Business Professionals of America. The Golden Girl nominee enjoys riding horses, spending time with family and friends, going to church, playing the flute, working with computers, swimming and meeting new people. Miss Ryan is active with the youth group at West Park Baptist Church and has served one year on the Pecos Youth Advisory Commission. "I like to help other people and I've been shown the importance of showing respect," said Ryan. Miss Ryan also has a twin brother, Christopher. After graduation, she plans on attending Sul Ross State University and then plans to return to Pecos to set up a business part time and work in the computer field the other. Martinez graduates in Temple ceremony Sylbia M. Martinez graduated from Temple High School on May 30, with the 450 other graduates. The graduation ceremony was held at the Expo Center. She had also attended Pecos High School before transferring to Temple. Martinez is the daughter of Oscar Martinez of Pecos and Dora Martinez of Temple. Paternal grandparents are Marcario and Juanita Martinez and maternal grandparents Andres and Guadalupe Martinez all of Pecos.
