She is sponsored by Anchor West. Miss Dominguez was a member of the student council her freshman year, a member of the band as a freshman, has participated in tennis for the last three years, Latin Club, UIL Science as a freshman and was inducted into Mu Alpha Theta as a sophomore. She was the Junior Duchess for the Homecoming Queen court. In the student council she was a freshman representative and vice-president of the Latin Club. The Golden Girl nominee enjoys dancing, talking on the phone and going out with friends. She plans to go to college following graduation and study engineering. Alvarez honored at program Cedric Alvarez was recently recognized at the Region 18 Quest for Excellence Gifted and Talented Conference. The program celebrates the accomplishments of outstanding students who are representing a school district. Alvarez' accomplishments as a student at Fort Stockton High School were highlighted during the program. He was also one of several students from Fort Stockton who were recognized at the University of Texas, El Paso, Celebration of Education Excellence Award Ceremony. Alvarez, a 1998 graduate is the son of Viola and Jesse Alvarez. He is the grandson of Nacha Perales and the late Pilo Perales of Coyanosa and Natividad Alvarez and the late Francis Alvarez of Barstow. He will be attending the University of Notre Dame where he has been recognized as a Notre Dame Scholar.
