| Daily Newspaper and Travel Guide for Pecos Country of West Texas Lifestyle Friday, April 24, 1998 Anchondo to pursue his education in Chicago Sam Anchondo, a former Pecos resident, graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a major in sociology and philosophy recently. He is planning to pursue a master's degree in theology and plans to attend the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Chicago, Ill. and eventually become a priest. Anchondo is a 1987 graduate of Pecos High School. He is the son of Crescencio Anchondo and the late Amelia Anchondo.
