Henry, Tijerina marry in San Angelo


Amanda Lucille Henry and Jesus Jerry Tijerina, both of
Tyler, were married March 28, at the San Angelo Convention
Center with Justice of the Peace Eddie Howard officiating.

A reception and dance followed the ceremony, with Joey y
Miradas providing entertainment.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerral Phillip
Mathis of Pecos and the late Robert Machuca Acosta. She is
the granddaughter of Lucy Hersha of Pecos.

The bridegroom is the son of Jesus Tijerina and Mary Frausto
of Ozona and Frances Tijerina and Albert Ramirez of San
Angelo. He is the grandson of Faustina Tijerina of Ozona.

Son of the bride and groom is Nicholas Jerry Tijerina.

Maid of honor was Amy Chism of Lubbock. Bridesmaids were
Melissa Henry of Los Angeles, Angela Cady of Dallas, Kaomi
Mathis and Tasha Mathis, both of Pecos, and Eudolia Braddock
of Levelland. Flower girl was Jennifer Minjarez of Odessa.

Best man was Tony Tijerina. Groomsmen were Robert Barrera of
Ozona, Junior Aguilar and Chino Rivero, both of Big Lake,
Rick Navarette of Lubbock and Robert Flores. Ring bearer was
Dakota Jay Herrera of Los Angeles.

Serving as ushers were Mario Herrera of Los Angeles and
Steve Henry of Pecos.

The bride is a 1992 graduate of Pecos High School. She
attended Angelo State University and Texas Tech University.

The bridegroom is a 1990 graduate of Reagan County High
School and attended Angelo State University. He is
self-employed at J.T. Seismic Engineering in Tyler.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will
reside in Tyler.

Salcido named officer of month


Eric Salcido has been selected as Correction Officer of The
Month for March.

Salcido has been employed at the Reeves County Detention
Center since April 3, 1995.

He is a corectional officer and his job consists of being
responsible for the custody and control of all inmates
within his duty station and is required to perform other
duties which are critical to the security of the
institution, according to RCDC Warden Rudy Franco.

Salcido is married to Ana Salcido. "He is very dedicated,
responsible and a hard worker. He has excellent
communication skills in dealing with inmates," said Franco.

"He is an asset to the Reeves County Detention Center and is
a role model for all new employees," said Franco.
