Workman named to Dean's list
Lindley Workman, of Pecos, was named to the Dean's List at
the University of North Texas in Denton.
In order to be named to the Dean's List a student has to be
attending college full-time and have a grade point average
She is a communications major and her grade point average
She is the daughter of Jerry and Emma Workman of Pecos.
Rivera celebrates first birthday
Thomas Joseph "T.J." Rivera celebrated his first birthday on
Friday, Jan. 9, at his residence.
Family and friends were on hand to help him celebrate.
T.J's parents are Tom and Anita Rivera of Pecos.
OC program helps students
Students enrolling at Odessa Collge for the spring semester
who need extra help in succeeding in college may apply for a
new program that provides intensive services including
Student Support Services (SSS) is a program that partners
faculty and staff with 150 students and provides them with
individualized counseling, tutoring, assistance in applying
for financial aid and cultural enrichment activities. The
program's goal is to help students successfully complete
courses and graduate from OC and/or transfer to a four-year
SSS, a federally funded grant, will provide OC with $180,000
a year for four years to give academic help to highly
