broadcast live from Washington, D.C. the Promise Keepers event "Stand In
The Gap, A Sacred Assembly of Men" this coming Saturday, Oct. 4. The
broadcast will begin at noon and conclude at 5 p.m.

The event is expected to draw more than 1.5 million men to Washington
for a time of prayer. A total of 1.6 million men has pre-registered for
the event.

Bill McCartney, founder of Promise Keepers, said the goal of this event
is to "gather a diverse multitude of men to confess personal and
collective sin. We will present to the Lord men on their knees in
humility, then on their feet in unity, reconciled and poised for
spiritual awakening. We believe God wants men to accept responsibility
for the well-being of their families."
