Skeltons celebrate 50th
wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Merle (Tuffy) Skelton celebrated their 50th Anniversary with a special reception held at the Community Center in Barstow.

The party was hosted by the couple's children and their spouses.

The couple married on Aug. 8, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Ireta Susie Taylor Skelton has 21 years combined service with Southern Bell and Contel Telephone Company as an operator.

Tuffy Skelton has worked on various ranches in Texas and Kansas; worked for the State of Arkansas testing cattle for brucellosis; worked for the State of Texas Highway Department and is presently a self-employed rancher. He is a veteran of World War II where he served with the 1st Cal¬ vary in the Pacific.

The couple have lived in Channing, Tx.; Eureka, Kan.; Benton, Ar.; Mentone and Barstow.

The Skeltons have four children; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Children include Mary Wilson of San Angelo; Gary Skelton of Rock Springs, Wyo.; Terry Lyons of Odessa and Sherry Baker of Arlington. _

Natividads tell of new daughter

Gloria and Raymond Natividad announce their birth of their new baby girl, Nydia Raylene Natividad.

She was born Aug. 4 at Reeves County Hospital.

Little Nydia was welcomed home by Nicky Nat.

Maternal grandparents are Nick and Marcela Fierro.

Paternal grandparents are Ramon O. and Andrea Natividad.
